Yurii Kartuzov was born in Ukraine, Odessa in 2006.
From the age of six he studied in Children's Music School named after E.G.Gilels in Odessa and then in Music Lyceum named after prof. P.S.Stolyarsky with professor Viacheslav Dashkovsky and graduated with honor. In 2022 he continued his education in I.M.Ronjgov Music School in Rijeka (Croatia) with mentor Judita Plazonić. Nowadays Yurii is a student of Conservatorium Gioachino Rossini in Pesaro (Italy) with professor Andrea Turini.
He started performing from a young age and during his brief musical carrier won numerous international competitions of classical piano and chamber music, such as "Serafima Mogilevskaya piano competition" (Ukraine, 2020), "Russian Alborada" (Spain, 2021), HDGPP of Solo and Chamber music (Croatia, 2023), "Humberto Quagliata" (Italy, 2023). Experience of the young musician includes performing and collaborating with various classical and jazz bands and musicians around the world. Yurii also attended masterclasses and lessons with many famous and venerable professors, such as Yuri Martynov, Stanislav Pochekin, Ilya Maximov, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Natalia Trull, Konstantin Bogino.
Besides talented and emotional performing of classical and contemporary music, which takes up a significant part of musician's activity, Yurii is also passionate about composing his own music in different genres and for different collectives.
