Formed in 2022, Fidelio Quartet has since been frequently invited to play on the main stages of Budapest, as well as other major cities in Hungary.
Already this year they will perform at major festivals in Eastern Europe such as Festival Academy Budapest and Tiberius Chamber Music Festival.
The individual members, as well, frequently play internationally as soloists and chamber musicians and have toured Asia, North America and Europe. They are also major prize winners of competitions such as Louis Spohr, Ilona Fehér, Virtuózok Hungary, Bohuš Heran, USA National Strings Competition, Talents For Europe, and David Popper.
Coached mainly by Judit Szabó, the quartet has also worked with artists such Barnabás Kelemen and Mikola Roman.
Violinist Zoltán Schwartz graduated with his master’s degree this year from the Liszt Academy of Music. He was a student of Miklos Szenthelyi, having also worked extensively with Mikhail Kopelman and Barnabas Kelemen among others.
Marley Erickson also graduated this year from Liszt Academy, with her Bachelor degree. She was a student of Kristof Baráti and Barnabas Kelemen. Originally from Seattle, she studied privately with Simon James and Hiro David, before coming to Europe.
Izumi Hagiwara, is pursuing his Bachelor’s with Miklós Perényi at the Liszt Academy of Music. He is the principle cellist of several emerging chamber orchestras, in fluid my Era Nova Orchestra.
József Sándor (Dodó) viola, graduated from University of Pécs, having studying with Emil Ludmány. He is now a member of Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, formerly having held positions in Pannon Symphony Orchestra and Hungarian State Opera Orchestra.
