Project Presentation – Guitar & Piano Duo
The Duo “Suoni dal Legno” presents a unique collaboration between guitar and piano,
exploring the rich and nuanced timbral possibilities of this rare instrumental
combination. The project is centered on repertoire that highlights the delicate interplay
between the warm, intimate sound of the classical guitar and the transparent, resonant
textures of the piano.
Through carefully selected works from the twentieth century, the duo aims to offer a
contemplative and evocative listening experience, emphasizing subtle melodic lines,
intricate harmonic colors, and dynamic contrasts. The combination of guitar and piano
allows for a wide palette of sound, from lyrical and intimate moments to vibrant,
expressive passages, creating a dialogue that is both rare and captivating.
The project also emphasizes contemporary compositions written specifically for the
duo, alongside classical and romantic works, demonstrating the versatility of the
guitar–piano pairing in solo and ensemble contexts.
