Eva Parenteau

Conservatoire de musique et d'art dramatique du Québec

Originally from Montreal, Canada, Marie-Ève Parenteau had her first exposure to classical music at the age of three with her grandmother, a pianist and opera singer.

She studied classical piano at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Montreal, the Vincent d’Indy School of Music, as well as the Pierre-Laporte School of Music, until the age of nineteen.

In 2004, life brought her to Mexico City, where her professional life took a new turn. She worked as Director of the Ambulante Documentary Film Festival (2007–2014), as an acupuncturist (2020–present), and as Director of Operations for various creative projects (2015–present). She is also the mother of a three-year-old daughter.

However, she never left music behind, as it remains an integral part of her life.

In her most recent recitals in 2025 and 2026, she performed Romantic and Modern works—her favorite musical periods—including Chopin (Fantaisie-Impromptu, Nocturnes, Waltz), Debussy (Clair de lune), Grieg (Piano Concerto No. 1), and Satie (Gnossiennes & Gymnopédies).

Uncommonly, her concerts are tuned to the original frequency of the era of these composers: 432 Hz. This vibration connects us to the Earth, heals our bodies, and elevates our minds—it is the natural frequency of life.
