Our piano-cello duo (Vera Nebylova - Cello, Anastasia Galenina - Piano) offers a diverse program and performs regularly. Currently we are studying in Essen, Folkwang Universität der Künste (University of arts).We regularly perform in Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland.
Our musical synergy has flourished over the past year, we were elected participants of the Masterclass/Festival Schaffhausen 2024 (featuring Jürg Dähler, Kathryn Stott, Wen Sinn Yang), our commitment to musical growth and collaboration shines.
Anastasia Galenina, Pianist
Anastasia Galenina received her first piano lessons at the age of seven at the School of Music in Yekaterinburg, Russia, under the guidance of Larissa Kutsenko. From 2015 to 2020, she studied piano, vocal accompaniment, and chamber music at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, Russia, under the tutelage of Oleg Malov and Sergei Urivaev. From 2020 to 2022, she continued her studies in chamber music under Inga Dzektzer at the State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory.
Anastasia has already performed numerous concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Slovakia, Serbia, and Bosnia.
In February 2024, she was selected to participate in a masterclass with Maestro Alfred Brendel at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf. She has received inspiration and guidance from esteemed musicians such as Yura Margulis, Milana Chernyavska, Mikhail Lidsky, Andrei Diev, Claus-Christian Schuster, Maxim Mogilevsky, Wen-Sinn Yang, and Jürg Dähler during various masterclasses.
Since October 2022, she has been studying Instrumental Duo under the guidance of Professor Evgeni Sinaiski at the Folkwang University of the Arts.
In May 2017, she was awarded the 2nd prize at the Stockholm Music Competition. In July-August 2018, Anastasia Galenina participated in the Colluvio Music Academy and Concert Tour alongside Hans-Christian Aavik (violin, Estonia) and Pavle Racocevic (cello, Serbia). In 2019, she won the 1st prize at the International Maria Judina Music Competition with a piano quartet and the 3rd prize at the All-Russian Music Competition with a piano trio. In October 2021, her trio won the 1st prize at the International Beethoven Competition in Ufa. In 2021, Anastasia participated as a soloist and member of a trio in an international project between South Korea and Russia.
In April 2023, she won the Folkwang Prize in a duo with a saxophonist (university competition). In October 2023, she performed in a piano trio at the Steinway House in Düsseldorf as part of a Rachmaninov tribute concert.
Since 2022, she has been working as a collaborative pianist at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Düsseldorf-Berlin, specializing in string classes.
Vera Nebylova was born in Russia. She began her cello studies at the age of 7 at the E. T. A. Hoffmann Music School and continued her education at the S. Rachmaninov Kaliningrad College. In 2020, she completed her Bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the guidance of Jeroen Reuling. She has performed as a solo cellist with the Symphonic Yuri Bashmet Orchestra and the Pan-Caucasian Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Tsinandali Festival, and as tutti cellist with the Mannheim Philharmonic. She is also a member of the Young German Philharmonic. In the 2021-22 season, she was an academy member of the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra. In the 2023-24 season, she is performing with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.
Vera has also won several competitions, including the 1st prize at the All-Russian String Competition, the 1st prize at the 'Youth Talent of Russia' competition, the 1st prize at the International Baroque Competition, and the 2nd prize at the International Karl Davidov Competition.
She has studied with Gary Hoffman, Jerome Pernoo, David Geringas, Claudio Bohorquez, Ivan Monighetti, Jens Peter Maintz, Young-Chang Cho, Leonid Gorokhov, Reinhard Latzko, Csaba Onczay, Romain Garioud, Marti Roussi, Roel Dieltiens, among others.
She has given solo recitals in Belgium, Italy, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. She is currently continuing her studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts with Laurentiu Sbarcea, as well as at the Hannover University of Music, Drama, and Media with Professor Oliver Wille as part of the Lysios Quartet.
