Born in Vic in 1996, Ernesto Martínez began his
musical studies at the Conservatori de Vic under
the guidance of his guitar teacher Francisco
Gamallo. During his formative years, he attended
masterclasses with Carles Trepat and Eduardo
Martín, and continued his musical development
with the organist Modest Moreno.
After completing his studies at the Conservatori
de Vic, he later pursued the Victoria dels Àngels
Lied Master’s program at ESMUC as a guitar
accompanist.
A prizewinner in several international
competitions — including First Prize in the
Guitar category and the overall prize at the
I saac Albéniz Competition — he has been
performing solo recitals since 2010. Since then,
he has appeared in numerous cities across Spain
and Italy, including Barcelona, Catania, Bilbao,
Alicante, Vic, Elx, and Lleida.
As a chamber musician, he is active in the Lied
repertoire as an accompanying guitarist and has
been a member of the chamber group Lira Orfeu
Miquel Llobet. He also participated in the CD
Escola de Barcelona 12x6, a project in which
prominent guitarists interpret Fernando Alonso’s
arrangements in homage to the composer.
Currently, he combines his solo concert career
with teaching at the Acadèmia Marshall.
